New Guide to Mexico Yoga Retreats

May 12, 2010 - PRLog -- Today yoga teachers Bari Kyle and David Morgan announced a new guidebook to yoga retreats in Mexico.

"We've been looking for the best places in Mexico to lead our own yoga retreats and teacher trainings. There's no definitive guide on the topic, so we decided to create one," said Morgan, a Kripalu Yoga Teacher with the Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) designation from the Yoga Alliance.

Travel isn't anything new for Morgan, a published photographer and former assistant editor of a well known travel publication. "Now that my yoga studio is closing, it's time to combine the four things I love most: yoga, travel, writing, and photography. After a few years dedicated to my business in Knoxville, Tennessee, my travel itch needs to be scratched."

Kyle, an award-winning short story writer, has practiced yoga for 12 years. She attended yoga teacher training at Zuda Yoga in Sacramento, California. "I'm looking forward to creating this resource for other yoga teachers who want to take groups to Mexico, and for independent travelers who want to find the best Mexico vacation spots that offer yoga," she said.

All Mexico yoga retreat centers are invited to submit listings for inclusion in the guidebook. "We'll personally visit and review as many as we can," said Morgan, "but our time and budget are limited. Those that we don't get to will be included in a resource directory by geographical region." The main chapters of the book will be devoted to photos and reviews of centers visited by Kyle and Morgan.
