Paint the Town Red takes place from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, to benefit Project RED, a partnership between Preservation North Carolina and Preservation Durham.

May 12, 2010 - PRLog -- Enjoy a night of fun at the Duke University president's home to help out struggling neighborhoods in East Durham.
Join Richard and Cynthia Brodhead - with co-hosts Charlie and Jeanetta Nelms, and Bill and Judith Bell - for Paint the Town Red, a special celebration to raise money for Project RED (Revitalize East Durham).
Preservation NC and Preservation Durham have teamed up through Project RED to renovate several historic homes in East Durham, a distressed neighborhood in need of positive reinvestment.  Once renovated, the homes will be sold at affordable prices, helping to ensure a solid future for this convenient downtown neighborhood.
Guests at 1933 Tudor-style home will be treated to wine and hors d'oeuvres, as well as stimulating conversation with fellow preservation supporters.
Tickets to Paint the Town Red are $50 per person, with non-PNC members receiving a complimentary one-year membership to the statewide preservation nonprofit.
Register online at www.PreservationNC.org or by phone at 919-832-3652.
