PRLog (Press Release) - May 11, 2010 -
It is well accepted that the modern industry is damaging our world at a terrible speed. The earth can not sustain long enough to accommodate our future generations if no proper remedy measures were taken. Therefore it is a great satisfaction that an increasing number of countries and organizations are calling up the world people to protect the worsening environment. Efforts are seen from every walk of society, including governments, schools, and enterprises, so on and so forth. Several days ago, Christie’s International held a Green Auction named “A Bid to Save the Earth”. This is for the first time this world’s leading art business has carried out this kind of charity auction. The splendid event was telecast live and globally in order to emphasize the urgent need to do something to protect our earth.

To many audiences, the real attractiveness of this event perhaps lies in the fact that it is a star-studded ceremony with top celebrities. This is the fact. However, it is believed that only in this way can raise the public’s awareness of the importance of creating a Green World. In order to meet this goal, many stars put on sexy costumes and summer dresses from milanoo (http://www.milanoo.com)green in color. For example, the Dutch model, Doutzen Kroes attended the event with her elegant green sheath Halter v-neck Satin chiffon evening dress and high heel incarnadine sexy pumps. These clothes fit her extremely well and also echoed to the theme of this event. Apart from Doutzen Kroes , we also saw Australian model Miranda Kerr, Model Elettra Wiedemann , Salma Hayek, Sam Waterston, Ted Danson, Candice Bergen and etc. In total, the number of guests attending it amounted to about six hundred.

The event was hosted by Susan and David Rockefeller and in the end it raised about 1.3 million dollars. The money will be assigned to four leading not-for-profit environmental organizations as planned——they are Conservation International, Oceana, Natural Resources Defense Council and the Central Park Conservancy. The reasons underlying their priority to be funded is that they are reported to have successfully implemented more effective environment-friendly practice and achieved better results.

Now it is high time every individual took some actions. The celebrities have set up good model for us to follow and it is sensible of us to take precautions before it is too late to make up our past wrongdoings. It is only when a green world that we can have a better tomorrow.
