Break out your driver and putter and golf for a good cause! Spots are still available for Gulfside Regional Hospice’s annual Golf Classic on Fri., May 14 at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club in Dade City.
A new twist for the tournament is that golfers will have the chance to play with and meet some of their favorite Tampa Bay sports celebrities, thanks to the 2010 Golf Classic Chairman, Mark Royals, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player and current Bright House sports analyst. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The tournament is a scramble-format, and prizes will be awarded to the foursomes who place first, second and third by gross scores. Gulfside’s Golf Classic costs $200 for individual golfers and $750 per foursome and includes breakfast, lunch and gift bag for all golfers. At the golf tournament, there will also be a special hole-in-one prize and contests.
