The new martial arts program, Shǒu Jì Martial Arts, is a unique, high performance martial arts program that blends Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, Wushu and acrobatics and is designed to develop strength, conditioning, flexibility, and agility, while promoting the core values of martial arts: focus, discipline, and respect. In Chinese, Shǒu Jì translates to acrobatic skills.
Reyes made martial arts history at age eight by becoming the first and only child ever to achieve a national top 10 ranking in Forms. He trained in martial arts and fight choreography under his father (Ernie Reyes Sr., and Member of Black Belt Hall of Fame), and members of the original West Coast Demo Team.
Reyes made his film debut as a child when he appeared in the Motown-Tri-star Productions of “The Last Dragon”, and later went on to star with Arnold Schwarzenegger in “Red Sonja”. In his teen years, the young martial artist landed his own Disney TV series, “Sidekicks”
Classes are for boys and girls ages 5 – 17 and will begin taking sign ups Monday, May 10. A free trial class is available for all students during the month of May.
