FREQUENTIS Defense Inc. supplies a VCS for Iraq

May 10, 2010 - PRLog -- The heart of the communications system of the Iraq SOC is the VCS 3020X designed and manufactured by Frequentis and produced and integrated in the United States by Frequentis Defense, Inc. using American manufactured parts and modules. The VCS 3020X voice communication system employs state of the art technology for digital voice communications. It is based on a unique, highly modular, distributed and decentralized architecture that incorporates extensive redundancy - providing a true parallel operation core switch with duplicated data and audio paths. The VCS 3020X provides the most modern user interface technology employing sunlight readable color touch panels.

The VCS 3020X for I-ACCS comprises 24 operator positions using the latest Frequentis graphical user interface, the iPOS Touch Panel, with the option to expand the system operators in the future. In addition to the VCS 3020X, Frequentis will also provide its DIVOS digital voice recording system. Frequentis Defense,Inc. will deliver the communications system to Lockheed Martin in July 2010 and deployment in Iraq will begin in early 2011. Potential follow-on phases of the project may include additional SOC and GATR sites.
