PORTLAND, Oregon - Puppet Labs, home of Puppet, the open source leader in data center automation, today announced it will present with NYSE Euronext, a leading global operator of financial markets and providers of innovative trading technologies, at the 6th Annual Red Hat Summit, June 23rd in Boston.
The session, “Deploying Data Centers with Puppet,” will cover how the NYSE manages its Enterprise Linux environment using Puppet in conjunction with Red Hat’s kickstart technology and Red Hat Network Satellite to automate server deployments from the base operating system installation to final application configuration.
“We're glad to have the New York Stock Exchange sharing their knowledge about Puppet with other Red Hat Enterprise Linux users,” said Michael DeHaan, product manager for Puppet Labs. “This is a great example of Puppet providing a mission-critical data center service and how you can use Puppet as a strategic platform to simplify your day-to-day data center operations. It's easy to say these are some of the most important computers on the planet, and we're happy to be helping with them.”
Presenting with DeHaan will be Rafael Brito, lead analyst at NYSE Euronext. Along with discussing strategies around deploying the automation solution in NYSE Euronext data centers, the session will cover information on kickstart bootstrapping, network configuration, the Puppet language, and the NYSE's own best practices for agile systems management.
The session will take place Wednesday, June 23rd, from 3:10-4:20pm, at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. For more information about the Red Hat Summit, visit http://www.redhat.com/
