By: Filip De Geijter Gent – May 9th, 2010. Actonomy’ Actonomy xMP HRM ontology consists of a multi lingual knowledge base structured as an ontology and covering jobdescriptions (function titles), skills/competences, educations, human interests, certifications and a wide variety of human interest categories. The existing ontology offers now backwards compatibility with existing occupational classifications. “Our HRM ontology offers far more jobdescriptions and skills than the existing classifications that are available’, says Filip De Geijter, CEO Actonomy, “The compatibility has to be seen as backward compatibility as we offer a wider range of concepts. Any concept can be mapped onto xMP HRM Ontology and existing classifications can easily be enriched with concepts from xMP.” Existing applications based on one of the existing classifications can benefit from Actonomy xMP as it will extend their existing reach with many more concepts such as function titles, skills or human interest. Applications using ‘selection lists’ can now easily be mapped on any other category that is used by other applications. ‘This has the potential to allow users to search/match through virtually any jobsite without the need to know the classification used by the jobsite’, says Filip De Geijter, “The internal xMP ontology will convert any concept and map onto any classification used by other”. Actonomy xMP HRM ontology consists of a wide set of HRM ‘concepts’ About Actonomy Actonomy (www.actonomy.com) Contact Filip De Geijter at filip@actonomy.com or 32 9 235 75 15 for more information.
