As an expat living in Portugal Samantha Milner has found that the packages for television, broadband and telephone are great value compared to those offered in the UK.
Samantha told Living In The Sun: “For instance when we were in England American television channels were a lot of money so we would avoid them and unless you were rich you never paid separately for the Disney channel. However, if you sign up for the family package it provides you with 60 great channels and the Disney channel is included for free.
“For the Manchester United fans out there you also have the opportunity to pick it up for just 2.50€ a month and we paid a premium for it when we were living in England.”
Samantha and her husband often come across deals including the following:
*Unlimited international/
*Broadband with unlimited download useage
*The family package television selection including Disney, Bio, Discovery, MTV, VH1 (60 channels)
Priced €39.99 a month, which is £35 based on the current exchange rate.
“I remember paying around £60 for the same thing when I was in England and I certainly didn’t get premium channels thrown in or international telephone calls,” said Samantha. “It makes you wonder why it is so expensive in England…”
