Holland Audio Tours Sets Bar High for Audio Tour Industry

Holland Audio Tours hopes this will be a thing of the past. Their web portal http://www.hollandaudiotours.com, launched May 10th 2010, offers a constantly expanding selection of English narrated tours in Holland’s most famous cities and sites, with several themed tours to choose from.
All tours are narrated in English by native Dutch voice actors, to add some additional local flavor. “We think this will give it a more personal feel, no generic British or American voice, but professional local talents who actually know what they are talking about”, says Hans van den Nieuwendijk, co-founder of Holland Audio Tours.

The tours can be purchased and downloaded from http://www.hollandaudiotours.com and uploaded to every MP3 player or mobile phone.

“We also partnered with at least five different MP3 portals: iTunes, AmazonMP3, Rhapsody, Napster and eMusic, so if a potential buyer feels more at easy to purchase and download a tour from one of these sites, they are more than welcome to do so”, says Christa DeRidder, co-founder of Holland Audio Tours. “The extra advantage of downloading a tour from our website is that you will get a free map with all the points of interest and the detailed tour that you will be following”.

Alongside the major Dutch cities are also themed tours, such as the Follow in the Footsteps Of... series with walks and trips that highlights the whereabouts of Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Anne Frank.

Much of the extensive research is based upon information found in libraries, online articles and tips of citizens of the respective cities. Christa DeRidder: “We will lead you through ancient old alleys, guide you step-by-step through beautiful neighborhoods and tell you the funny, informative, frivolous and sometimes frightening history behind these places”.

Holland Audio Tours is constantly adding content. Upcoming tours are for example several Windmill Tours, the fight against the sea and World War II tours. “It is not about getting tours online as fast as possible. Customers appreciate the in depth quality of our tours and rather wait for one than to download a disappointment. As one of our customers put it: ‘There is much to tell’”.
