The one day event provided an opportunity for families with special needs children to connect with services and resources that offer support and assistance. It was held May 7, 2010 at the Hilton University Place in Charlotte, NC and was sponsored by Bayada Nurses and Make-A-Wish. Over fifty exhibitors participated.

Throughout the day, Palmetto Childproofing distributed safety tips booklets with room-by-room babyproofing advice, provided parents and caregivers with gift cards for a free home safety evaluation, and answered questions about creating a safe home environment for babies and toddlers.
Part of the venue included a Kids Zone with face painting, arts and crafts activities, coloring, and plenty of free balloons. Door prize drawings for attendees were held throughout the day.
In addition, a silent auction was held for numerous donated items with proceeds going to benefit Victory Junction Camp, whose mission is to enrich the lives of children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun and empowering, in a safe and medically sound environment.
Bost said that his favorite part of events like this is talking to parents who are curious about childproofing their home. “I’ve met many wonderful people today and I hope that each and every one of them has found this event to be highly informative and beneficial—I know I certainly have.”
