Cleveland, Ohio, May 7, 2010: Silico Corporation and 3P Partners announced today a strategic alliance to support a common purpose of helping organizations reduce the waste of non-value added activities, improve business processes and create long term sustainability. John M. Cachat, President of Silico and Debra Shumar, President of 3P Partners, have known each other for over 25 years. Cachat stated, “3P Partners’ knowledge of people and culture combined with Silico’s knowledge of process and technology will provide the marketplace with the most customer focused business improvement solutions available today.”
Silico and 3P plan to reduce waste and increase value for businesses by providing them with reliable tools imperative for omitting redundant activity in the front office, which will save time and create efficiency. They also aim to eliminate scrap and rework within the manufacturing process. The services offered by Silico and 3P are flexible, and able to adapt to businesses as they grow and develop over time.
“Deb Shumar has a proven track record in helping companies improve. She has taught me a lot, including the importance of listening to people and understanding their company cultures to provide them with a specialized, unique plan,” stated Cachat. “Deb taught me that technology is an important component in helping companies implement better business processes, but it is a long term enabler and not a solution in itself. Companies that buy software and consider it the ‘solution’
Shumar and Cachat first met when Cachat was a consultant with LTV Steel helping them implement an integrated process improvement program. Shumar was a key LTV executive tasked to lead the effort internally. Cachat at the time was Chairman and Founder of IQS, Inc., a Cleveland based enterprise quality management software company. Shumar continued her career at ITT Automotive, Arvin Meritor, and then became the Corporate Vice President of Quality at Whirlpool, prior to starting her own consulting company, 3P Partners.
“John is both a technology guy and a business enabler. He understands that it is critical to provide technical solutions to what people specifically need rather than some off-the-shelf package that may not allow them to use their forms, their workflows, and their data,” stated Shumar. “His new vision will enable the brightest software technologist I have ever met to use his experience and skills to provide customer driven solutions.”
Silico and 3P Partners will be hosting a webinar on Tuesday May 18th, at 2PM EST to provide details on the alliance and its unique offerings. You can register by emailing cbajic@silicocorp.com or at www.silicocorp.com.
