5550 Series - Adder KVM Extender
YORK HAVEN, PA, May 5, 2010 – Daisy Data Displays, Inc.(D3), industry leader in developing specialized and ruggedized computers, displays, and keyboards designed to endure harsh industrial and plant environments, announced their 5550 Series of KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) extenders, the Adder X200, has recently received FM Approval for use in hazardous areas: Class I II III, Divisions 1 & 2 Groups A-G.
The Adder X200, one of four brands of KVM extenders offered by D3, is a USB KVM equipped with 44.1 kHz digital stereo audio support for two computers and control ability for up to 1000 ft across a CAT5 or higher UTP cable. Each receiver is fitted with two ports which allow connection to a local and remote computer, or two remote computers. The newly recognized KVM provides real time keyboard and mouse performance as well as hi-definition, hi-resolution video over VGA interface.
FM Global, a leading commercial insurance company, guarantees customers D3’s product has been objectively tested and complies with the highest national and international standards for Hazardous Locations Electrical Equipment. The Adder X200 is also approved under Emerson Process’s Alliance program. Emerson is a leader in the process control software industry with their DeltaV Digital Automation System.
