2nd Annual “RED Day” Set to Lend a Hand in Florence
Keller Williams Realty Services is part of community service initiative in the US and Canada
Florence, Kentucky—May 6, 2010— Keller Williams Realty associates may be taking the day off on Thursday, May 13, 2010, but it will hardly be a day of rest. Over 25,000 associates across the United States and Canada will spend their day off by giving back as part of the company’s community service initiative, RED Day.
Short for “Renew, Energize and Donate,” RED Day was created to unite Keller Williams Realty offices and associates in an international day of service. During RED Day 2009, over 25,000 Keller Williams associates participated in activities ranging from food and blood drives to cleaning up trash in public parks, doing yard work for neighbors in need or revamping gardens at nursing homes. Last year on RED Day, the company donated over 130,000 hours.
As part of the RED Day effort, Keller Williams Realty Services in Northern Kentucky has chosen to spend the day with The Point. The Point Arc of Northern Kentucky serves Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties and helps children with disabilities and their parents receive the educational opportunities to increase their competency, independence and employability. The Point teaches awareness about disabilities in the community, works with the Everybody Counts! Organization in local schools, runs an education program for special education high school students and organizes summer programs for all of their students. Keller Williams Realty Services agents will help fix up one of The Point’s adult group homes at 8266 Meadow View Drive in Florence by staining the deck, planting flowers, and sprucing up the other landscaping to complete a mini-makeover on the house.
“We are excited to be a part of RED Day and continue the important company tradition of giving,” said Team Leader, Aaron Tackett. “Since our Northern Kentucky office just opened, we didn’t participate in RED DAY activities last year, but are excited to be able to give back to the community we know and love.”

We are less that 10% government funded, so it helps that people donate their time. We could not produce what we do and help the community without our volunteers- they are priceless. Some of volunteers have been with us up to 25 years and we cherish them and welcome any new ones.”
