Risk Management Specialist Ira Sorkin Joins RMI Consulting As Senior Consultant

May 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Ira E. Sorkin of Massapequa, NY, has joined RMI Consulting, Inc., the risk management consulting firm headquartered in Port Washington, NY.   To his role as Senior Consultant, Sorkin brings 25 years practical experience, professional expertise as a New York State licensed insurance broker, and a specialization in risk management consulting for major sports clubs.

Prior to joining RMI Consulting, Sorkin worked at Marsh & McLennan Companies, providing risk management services and analysis to the 30 Major League Baseball clubs covered under the League Wide Property/Casualty Program through the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball in New York City.  Earlier, as part of Marsh’s Global Placement Division, Sorkin designed and marketed casualty programs, including loss sensitive programs.

In addition to obtaining his Associate in Risk Management, Sorkin is finalizing requirements toward designation as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.  He holds New York State licenses as Broker and Agent and remains current on all lines of insurance though continuing education.  Sorkin is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a degree in political science and a minor in business.
