May 7, 2010 - PRLog -- TSYS, a global company based in Columbus, Georgia, USA established its International arm in the UK in 1999. TSYS is the market-leader for payment processing, supporting a number of the key card issuers amongst more than 300 clients in 75 countries. The International headquarters in York provides support to clients, both across Europe and internationally.

With help from videoconferencing specialist Saville Audio Visual, the company has now taken a major step towards improving and speeding up its international communications capabilities whilst reducing its carbon footprint.

Saville has upgraded the existing TSYS facility by designing and installing a three-screen conferencing system in the Berlin Room at the TSYS offices in Fulford, York. A new high definition Tandberg VC system and an AMX touch screen controller were installed, together with a bespoke media wall module. The facilities also include full HD video display and PC presentations via an interactive Sympodium monitor mounted on the lectern.

TSYS LAN Team Administrator, Graham Berry said: “Our video conference suite was designed as a multi-functional facility, as we entertain many internal and external clients and require a complete range of conferencing and presentation tools.”

“With the help of Saville we are now able to incorporate facilities for PC and laptop presentations, Blu Ray presentations and Tandberg High Definition videoconferencing, plus SKY HD for live news feeds and off-air broadcasts.”

The company’s aim was to upgrade the existing infrastructure to meet the changing needs of the business, moving away from an ISDN-based videoconferencing system.  As a global company with offices in the US, Brazil, New Delhi, Russia and Cyprus, the decision was taken to upgrade to an IP-based Tandberg solution, which has significantly improved the ability to communicate between offices via the company’s WAN (Wider Area Network).

Graham Berry added: “One of our main drivers was to reduce our carbon footprint and become more environmentally friendly. By reducing the need for constant travel between international offices, we can now conduct training presentations across the globe at the touch of a button.”

“The business has given great feedback on this project and we have already seen major savings in costs and resources. Saville were very professional from end to end and even helped launch our new Conference Suite by providing training sessions to our users on our open day.”
