Mickey Ambrose, actor, footballer, fundraiser and recent ‘runner up’ in the News of the World, Children Champion Awards joins Anchor House, a homeless charity in East London as their community ambassador.
Mickey’s first challenge will be to host a ‘66 World Cup fundraising dinner in June for 250 guests. Guests will be able to meet a hero from the 1966 World Cup final or win exclusive auction prizes.
Mickey brings his own brand of infectious energy and a genuine passion for making a difference to the lives of people in his home town of London. In 2008 he made the dreams come true for the Broadwater Farm United U’13 football team when he organised for them to represent London in the Tokyo Cup Tournament along with a visit to number 10 Downing Street to meet Sarah Brown on the way.
