YourLUME Partners with American Forests to Plant Trees for Each Story

Portland, Ore. -  YourLUME has found a sustainable way to thank their followers for submitting their adventure stories on their website, www.yourlume.com while helping to replenish the earth’s forests. They have partnered with American ForestS and will provide a donation to plant a tree for each adventure story that is submitted.

Previously, YourLUME would send a journal to supporters who submitted stories of travel, competition or adventure on their website. “The journals have served as a great incentive, but we realize that this is not a sustainable means of thanking our supporters,” explains Andrew Estey. YourLUME will use the funds used for printing and shipping the journals to donate to American Forest.

“We’re building a community that plays its part in the greater picture of things. We share our stories, inspire each other and now we’re finding ways to give back and take care of our community. We are a very young company and this is only one way that we will make a sustainable choice,” says Katerina Margolin, Public Relations Coordinator of YourLUME.
