Internet Radio is possibly the fastest growing entertainment medium on the planet right now. Getting Internet Radio into the car however has provided challenges to many in car entertainment manufacturers over the last few years, however most solutions have involved new head units, major modifications to the interior of the vehicle, and considerable expense.
Dension Audio Systems however, the world’s leading specialists in in-car integration of audio devices, will launch a brand new concept for in-car Internet Radio at Car and Sound on the 14th May 2010. (Hall A3 / Booth 3320)
Dension Webradio, powered by Radiotime, is housed in a USB dongle which connects to any USB capable car radio. By establishing a Bluetooth connection to a 3G capable phone, it can configure thousands of Internet Radio stations for playback through the car’s original radio.
Webradio will cost around €99 at retail and all that will be required in the car is a USB port. If the car doesn’t have a USB port, this can be achieved by adding a Dension Gateway to the vehicle.
