May 6, 2010 - PRLog -- May 2010 An exclusive evening for a symbol of the Italian gastronomy: Pasta Antonio Amato, a protagonist of Italian style, will be hosting the gala dinner for the special screening of the movie “Letters to Juliet”, scheduled for the 3rd of May at the Gran Guardia in Verona.
The movie, produced by Summit Entertainment and directed by Gary Winick, features actors Amanda Seyfried, Christopher Egan, Gael Garcia Bernal, Vanessa Redgrave, Franco Nero, Luisa Raineri, Milena Vukotic and Marina Massironi and will be released in Italy by Eagle Pictures from the 27th of August.
The movie will showcase Italy and Verona around the world, promoting local food and wines, besides historical landmarks and monuments, appearing in different scenes of the film as per the trailer (http://letterstojuliet-movie.com/)
This is an ideal association for Pasta Antonio Amato, allowing to couple core values of the company such as tradition and innovation to those of a new romantic comedy connected to the modern version of the universal story of Romeo and Juliet.
“Cinema represents for us an interesting opportunity to combine our art with the art of cinematography”– declared Giuseppe Amato Jr, General Manager at Antonio Amato & C. “The creation of pasta comes from a passion that becomes an art appreciated all over the world, exactly as it happens with movies”.
Pasta Amato debuted in the movies in January of this year, with “Io, loro e Lara” a film by actor/director Carlo Verdone where the Pasta was prominently featured in many scenes.
Because of the company’s constant evolution and the many goals achieved, Antonio Amato is a long-standing symbol of Italian style. The passion the Amato family has for pasta is in fact dates back to 1868.
That was the opening year of the first production plants of  “Società Rinaldo”, a company the Amato family acquired and re-named “Rinaldo & Amato”, and later merged with the new company “Antonio Amato & C. Molini e Pastifici S.p.A.”, founded in Salerno, in June 1958.
The following 40 years were of significant growth. Production was gradually increased and modernized and production techniques improved, to reach the highest quality standards.
At the beginning of the new millennium, the Amato family is still running the company with determination and enthusiasm, making it one of the most important and innovative pasta factories in Italy, standing out for the refined quality and the completeness of its productive line, available all over the world with its successful products.
