Of course so many people love pure electric cars right now. It is because everything was change from gasoline to electric. It is a cool stuff that you cannot let it passed when live in the big city with full of traffic jam and expensive.
Volkswagen is beginning to develop pure electric cars. Their new Golf Blue e-motion has been presented by Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, member of VW’s development board, and the German minister of transportation. They tested the new EV on the streets of Berlin.
The Golf blue-e-motion concept car is powered by 85 kW(115 HP), front mounted electric motor which delivers 270 Nm maximum torque and a top speed of 87 mph (140 kmh) and acceleration of 0-100 kmh in 11.8 seconds. The electric Golf is based on the current MK VI Golf and the new battery-powered Golf is the first of a fleet of 500 that will be deployed starting next year in customer trials in Germany. The German government plans to get around 1 million EVs on the market until 2020, which includes making both the cars and the infrastructure they’ll need.
Interestingly, that car equipped with regenerative braking system. VW says the electric motor can be disengaged in a manner similar to that of the new Touareg Hybrid, which uses a clutch to fully disengage the motor from the driveline. Of course, once the brake pedal is depressed, the electric motor on the Golf Blue E-motion then works as a generator to recoup energy normally lost to heat during braking.
