PORTLAND, Oregon -- Puppet Labs, home of Puppet, the open source leader in data center automation, today announced it will be part of the USENIX Configuration Management Workshop, which take place Thursday, June 24th in Boston, MA.
Michael DeHaan, product manager for Puppet Labs, will discuss the theoretical approach Puppet takes to configuration management, as well as the future of the application and how Puppet is simplifying the large scale datacenter management challenges brought on by cloud computing and virtualization.
“As growing virtual environments become more complex with the development of clouds, many of today’s configuration management tools simply cannot handle the scale and complexity in the cloud,” said DeHaan. “Puppets’ data center automation platform provides system administrators with the agility, flexibility and scalability they need to manage large numbers of applications in cloud computing environments.”
The USENIX Configuration Management Workshop brings together developers, power users, and new adopters of configuration management tools to share their perspectives on the tools the use for system administration.
