CinnamonTeal Print and Publishing Services will now provide authors with the option to develop e-books and audio-books. This will augment its already strong portfolio of editorial and print-on-demand services.
"The e-book explosion makes it imperative for authors to have their books (or at least an excerpt) available electronically and our service provides them a cheap way of doing so", says Leonard Fernandes, a co-founder of the Goa, India-based CinnamonTeal.
E-books will be provided at no extra charge for most platforms. However, for platforms such as the Kindle and the iPad, the book will have to be formatted according to special guidelines and this formatting will be charged. Revenues accrued from the sale of e-books will be split between the author and the hosting platform. Books will be available across most platforms including the iPhone, the iPad and the Kindle.
The audiobooks will be provided in mp3 format for further use. These files could be packaged as CDs or could be included on the author's website and hence be an important marketing tool.
"The inclusion of these services makes it possible for CinnamonTeal to provide authors all the services they may require at one place. That makes it easy for authors to manage their transactions and spares them time to concentrate on other important matters", Leonard said.
