(SMT), a leadership development and support company that serves the direct sales
industry. During his tenure as CEO, Robert worked with field leaders and his executive
team to spearhead a plan that helped SMT grow from a midwest focused business into
an international business that more than tripled in size to over $42M in revenue.
David Rutz, Escape’s CEO, said that the executive team unanimously selected Dickie
based on his track record leading a similar organization, as well as his strong executive
and personal qualities.
"Robert came to our attention because of his strong execution skills, his track record,
and his proven ability to lead top performing teams similar to ours. He demonstrated
these skills while employed by SMT and in his prior positions. As we got to know
Robert, we were impressed by his experience and effectiveness in developing
leadership and fostering a culture of performance and personal integrity. ” continued
Rutz said, “Robert supported reps who successfully used an online shopping
community similar to Aisle19, and did so while also marketing over $100M in proprietary
products. It is obvious that his experience will serve well in our Escape family. We have
been working on some exciting improvements that will be released this summer.
Robert’s role will be to work with and advise the team leading this development.”
Dickie said, "I appreciate Escape’s positioning in the marketplace with their Aisle19
community, their outstanding talent and the value proposition of the product lines and
services. It is a great honor to assist this leadership team and have the opportunity to
build on its success."
A brief biography on Dickie is shown below.
On Monday, Escape will host a nationwide independent business owner call to further
discuss this arrangement. Details: May 3, 9:00 p.m. EST, Listen-only:
