Vancouver, BC - Ludus Sports has announced the addition of Olympic veteran Ian Hamilton as Vice President of its International Division. Hamilton will head up European Business Development and Operations with specific responsibility for London 2012 and Sochi 2014.
Hamilton brings extensive Olympic and Paralympic Games experience, most recently having served most recently as Division Director for Pr1me Strategies, a Vancouver, Canada-based agency. Among other responsibilities, Hamilton was instrumental in the development of the Sochi 2014 Hospitality House in Vancouver, located at Science World. Ludus organized the Jamaican Bobsleigh House in Whistler during the 2010 Winter Games in February.
Hamilton activated sponsorship, hospitality and workforce accommodation programs for various organizations including Atos Origin, Contemporary Security Canada, Bosco Sport, Presidential Commission of the Russian Federation, the International Olympic Committee, Sochi 2014, Volkswagen Group Russia, Megafon and GFS Foods, among others.
“We’re thrilled to have Ian as part of the team,” Adam Dailey, Ludus’ Chief Executive Officer, said. “We’ve had the opportunity to work a lot with (him) over the past couple years and it was a great fit for him to head up our London and Sochi programs.”
London will be the seventh Olympic Games that Hamilton has worked on, with the majority of his experience in hospitality, workforce accommodation, country house management and consulting activation. He also consulted to the Candidate and Bid city campaigns of Sochi 2014, Doha 2016, and the Moscow 2010 Youth Olympic Games.
