(Fort Lauderdale, FL – May 5, 2010) – FOR ART’S SAKE!, a print show series presented by Freedom Art, a graphic design business run by Jose Lopez, is proud to announce, Birdwatch, a group print show May 28-June 13, 2010. Birdwatch offers a collection of works that range from a variety of eye-catching styles and elaborate print work from a select group of high-caliber artists.

The intention for Birdwatch is to introduce the beauty of birds to the world of art and to mend the human experience with that of our feathered friends. We gain much pleasure, joy, and inspiration from watching and listening to birds as they play an intricate, ubiquitous role in our environment and our everyday lives. Birdwatch will be celebrating birds by presenting the very best print work of the animals as primary and secondary subjects.

In conjunction with Birdwatch there will be an Artist Meet and Greet as well as a Luncheon Lecture& Workshop May 29, 2010. The Meet and Greet will be a great opportunity for you to come and meet the artists as they will be selling signed, limited edition prints. At the Lecture and Workshop visitors will have a chance to ask questions and learn what it takes to create an art print as some of the selected artists demonstrate their process. Visitors will also be able to take part in a silkscreen workshop provided by a local graphic design business
.
Following the success of our February 2010 FOR ART’S SAKE! show we are expecting Birdwatch to be bigger and better. Birdwatch’s grand opening weekend will be May 28-29 2010 at Gallery101 in Fort Lauderdale and will be on display until June 13 2010.
