May 5, 2010 - PRLog -- National Electronics Week provides the only opportunity for the entire UK Electronics industry to gather at one time to see the latest technologies, share ideas, be educated and network. The revised two day format and central England location will result in the most comprehensive Electronics event to be seen in the UK.

The Etek Team will be there to provide their expertise in solutions, products and services for the Electronics industry. At the Etek Stand No B20 they will have on display a range of industry leading equipment including; The Momentum Screen Printer from Speedline, The Trident Defluxing System and Zero Ion Contamination Tester from Aqueous, Supra E Automated Inspection from MVP and Fume Extraction systems from PUREX.

The Momentum Screen Printer from Speedline

Cost-effective formerly implied compromise. That’s not the case with Momentum, the new driving force in stencil printing from MPM. They have incorporated an unprecedented level of patented, industry-leading technology and performance into a platform that won’t break the budget.

Momentum’s ± 12.5 micron at 6 sigma accuracy is the result of a precision engineered and integrated system. CANopen motion control architecture (originally developed for the award-winning Accela printer platform) yields exceptional performance in signal communication and high speed motion control while reducing design complexity. The state-of-the-art digital camera, telecentric lenses, advanced optics, and advanced lighting techniques result in unmatched vision performance in both alignment and post-print inspection. Patent-pending designs utilized in the transport and squeegee systems maximize reliability and uptime, and that reduces your cost of ownership.

These features, combined with intuitive, easy-to-use Benchmark software, enable Momentum to surpass all the competition in its price/performance class.

Trident Defluxing System from Aqueous

Designed for Post Reflow Defluxing, Trident is a multi-award winning fully automatic defluxing and cleanliness testing system designed specifically for the electronic assembly industry.  Unlike most other batch-format cleaning systems that relabeled glassware washers, Trident was designed from the ground up to remove flux and other process contamination from post-reflowed circuit assemblies. Trident achieves cleanliness results exceeding all military, IPC, medical and all other high reliability cleanliness standards.

Trident is capable of removing all flux types including Rosin, Water Soluble, and all No-Cleans from eutectic and lead-free assemblies. Trident is equipped with the multiple award winning Focus-Wash cleaning technology.

Focus-Wash directs more fluid flow to a concentrated area, with a higher velocity, resulting in greater impact pressure, providing superior impingement, even on densely populated, low standoff SMT assemblies.  Trident’s exclusive oscillating board rack and counter-rotating asymmetrical spray arms virtually eliminate the shadowing concerns common with all other brands.

Trident is equipped with real-time predictive cleanliness capabilities.  The on-board cleanliness tester automatically controls the cleaning process, ensuring a cleanliness level that equals or exceeds your programmed setting.  In many cases, Trident’s predictive cleanliness capability eliminates the need for off-line post defluxing cleanliness testing.

Zero Ion Contamination Tester from Aqueous

Specifically cited in MIL-2000A, the Zero-Ion ionic contamination tester is one of the industry’s most popular Resistivity of Solvent Extract (ROSE) testers. IPC-001 and IPC TM650 recognize ROSE testing as an approved method of determining the cleanliness of circuit assemblies. Today, in an environment where densely populated surface mount technology has become commonplace, and where ISO, TQM, Six Sigma, and other quality standards are commonplace, cleanliness verifications are frequently required and essential.

The Zero-Ion has been in constant production since the 1980’s. Thousands of customers rely on the Zero-Ion to determine the final cleanliness of post-reflow circuit assemblies as well as bare boards. The Zero-Ion g3 is the newest, most advanced Zero-Ion ever designed.

Supra E Automated Inspection from MVP

The Supra E Tri-Color Technology provides the ability to use multiple angles of light to determine different characteristics of each component and lead inspected all from a single image.

Configured with the latest state-of -the-art 5 MP camera, our Linear Motion Technology allows faster inspection cycle times while increasing inspection capabilities. Additionally, our Tri-Color solutions enhance defect coverage while minimizing false rejects.

The Supra E provides the lowest overall costs by providing the highest fault coverage, highest reliability through the use of linear motion technologies, while providing the fastest program generation without the loss of performance.

Fume Extraction from PUREX

For more than two decades, Purex International Ltd has manufactured fume extraction systems with the aim of improving product quality, reducing process costs and protecting the health of personnel and the environment.

Purex extractors are constantly under development to deliver the most efficient and safety conscious equipment in the market. All equipment is built to help ensure: your processes comply with the most recent health and safety regulations to protect workers; your production line works at maximum efficiency and equipment is kept clean; you avoid environmental issues surrounding "vent to atmosphere" fume extraction.

Purex fume extraction systems are designed in conjunction with some of the worlds largest Contract Electronics Manufacture and Equipment Providers to help: Prevent damage to production machinery, Reduce downtime for cleaning and maintenance, Protect personnel from harmful fumes, Reduce product rejects due to poor production performance, Maintain a constant extraction rate to ensure stable temperature profiles, Deliver long filter life and Interface with the production equipment.
