May 5, 2010 - PRLog -- (Raleigh, N.C.) North Raleigh icon Margaux’s Restaurant has officially opened its expansive outdoor patio just in time for the beautiful Carolina spring weather, offering a relaxed, private alfresco dining experience for grown-ups of all ages.

Margaux’s beautifully landscaped outdoor patio is one of the largest in North Raleigh, seating 75 guests in warm sunshine or cool shade under two large retractable awnings. Combined with a visually stimulating, artistic interior, Margaux’s alfresco dining puts the 18-year-old restaurant on par with any establishment in trendy areas like Glenwood South, New York City, or San Francisco, but with less walking and plenty of free parking.

“We put a lot of work into the landscaping, décor, and design of our patio to create an aesthetically pleasing environment and a unique dining experience for all five senses,” Steve Horowitz, co-owner and general manager, said, adding, “Dining outside enhances the enjoyment of any meal.”

According to Horowitz, the patio at Margaux’s has become a popular spot for romantic couples; end-of-week business luncheons; cocktails with friends; and early byrd dinners from the restaurant’s ever-changing menu which features amazing flavor combinations from Chef de Cuisine Andrew Pettifer’s delightful fusion of French, Southern and Asian dishes.

The investment in the outdoor patio was one of several major enhancements the restaurant has made in recent years. In response to guests who want to celebrate the unique Margaux’s dining experience with large groups, Horowitz opened the 85-person capacity Bordeaux Room for rehearsal dinners, parties, holiday celebrations, and other special events, and the Rotisserie Room, for intimate corporate luncheons seating 12-18 people.

“We’ll even rent the entire restaurant for everything from weddings to art openings to charity events, especially on Sundays when we’re closed to the general public,” Horowitz said. For example, Margaux’s is hosting an art opening May 12 featuring Anna Podris and Keith Norval. Their work and pieces from other artists are featured throughout the interior dining area at Margaux’s, and is for sale.

Lunch is served Thursdays and Fridays from 11:30 – 1:30, with dinner available from 5:30 – 9:00 Monday through Thursday and 5:30 – 10:00 Friday and Saturday. Margaux’s menu changes daily; for the latest culinary lineup – in addition to details on early byrd dinner specials, prix-fix menu items, and weekly specials -- visit MargauxsRestaurant.com.
