May 5, 2010 - PRLog -- As the wedding season gets underway, brides will nervously wait for the day when they finally get to say ‘I do’ and show off the dress that has been a closely guarded secret for months. But what if you’re just starting your dress buying journey?

In the May edition of the new wedding planning podcast, ‘The Butterfly Journal; An Inspiring Wedding Guide’ hosted my Caribbean Wedding designer, Michelle Pierre-Carr, brides get a front row seat to advice from wedding dress experts, without setting foot in a store or trying to make a decision from the hundreds of choices available.

This month’s panel of experts includes wedding dress specialist, Annalize Senol from Morgan Davies London, who leads listeners though the experience of dress buying from a retail store; what to expect, and what to ask about. Representing the couture option, Yemi Osunkoya from Kosibah Creations discusses the art of corsetry and the 23 measurements he takes from a woman’s body to ensure just the right fit. And for those wanting something different from the traditional white or ivory gown, Catherine Shaw from Allbone and TrimIt delves into the fun that can be had with a splash of wedding dress colour.

“The bride’s dress really is the centerpiece of any wedding” says host, Pierre-Carr “but there are so many options, brides often don’t know where to start. This show will tackle some practical issues, from what type of fabric to choose for a destination wedding, how to dress for your shape, and what to think about when looking for the dress of your dreams.”

The wedding dress edition of The Butterfly Journal, along with the accompanying blog, will be available on May 1st at www.pierrecarr.com/podcast

The Butterfly Journal launched in February 2010, and past editions of the series are available on the Pierre Carr, Exclusive Tropical Weddings website and iTunes.
