May 4, 2010 – San Diego, Ca – San Diego Boca FC announced today its new marketing partnership with ESPN Radio 98.9 FM and ESPN Deportes 800 AM. The one-year agreement will involve cross-marketing arrangements to benefit both sport brands as part of the 2010 World Cup soccer celebration starting this June.
San Diego Boca FC President and General Manager Yan Skwara stated, “We are very excited to be working with ESPN Radio 98.9 FM and ESPN Deportes 800 AM. ESPN is a sports brand that everyone is familiar. Working with ESPN radio will enhance our soccer brand and at the same time, we feel that our soccer fan base is the type of fan that ESPN radio wants to reach out to now, especially with the 2010 World Cup around the corner. The timing could not be better as ratings for the sport will soar this coming month as Mexico and South Africa kick off the games on June 11th. The next home match for San Diego Boca FC (2-1-0) is Saturday, June 5 against NPSL Division rival Bay Area Ambassadors (2-1-0) at 7:00pm
