A gathering of this kind is certain to bring the message of Peace and Human Unity to the Nation's Capital this weekend. This exciting event will be held in the spirit of the original 1870 "Mother's Day Proclamation"
In addition, a giant "Cozy" (4' X 50')made from knitted pieces sent in by women from all over the world, will be displayed with Juliet Ward Howe's famous words, "We will not raise our children to kill another mother's child."
Other Highlights include: a Children's Peace Train, Interactive Music, Speakers For Peace from War-Torn Countries, an "Arms-Are- For-Hugging"
Everyone is encouraged to bring their mothers and children and celebrate with their families and friends the original intent of Mother's Day...calling for Peace throughout the world.
