The Nail Shop Maui Celebrates Grand Re-opening in Kihei

May 3, 2010 - PRLog -- There will be plenty of Pink over at The Nail Shop Maui starting on May 8, 2010, at the grand Re-opening.  This venerable pampering center has graced Kihei for over 25 years.  Diana Hudson, the founder and best friend to so many on the South side of the Island, has turned over the reigns to Judy Stockwell and her daughter Jamie Yabes.  "I had a great time with the salon and love my customers," said Diana, "but even Bret Favre needs to know when to retire.  I have full confidence in Judy and Jamie.  They will keep up all of our traditions of quality nail and skin care, and add some new ones of her own."

The first new tradition will be about Pink.  The shop is going to be a major supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness.  Judy spoke recently about the new direction:  "All women have a stake in the breast cancer issue.  Even if we never contract breast cancer, we all benefit from advances in detection.  I'm sure we'd all love to see a breakthrough in the method for doing mammograms," she laughed.

So the shop will cut a big Pink ribbon on Saturday May 8 at 9:00 A.M.  Mayor Charmaine Tavares will do the honors along with others who support the new direction.  Co-owner and manager Jamie explains:  "We will carry a nice selection of products with the breast cancer logo, and all of the factories making these products pay royalties that go to research and awareness.  In addition, The Nail Shop Maui will also make continuing contributions from the sales of those items."

Judy concludes:  We will also be involved in other events and fund raising efforts as time goes by.  We are going to be sending out email newsletters to our customers to keep them informed of ways they can help to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
