Dress For Success RI To Host First Silent Auction Dinner At Quidnesssett Country Club June 10

May 3, 2010 - PRLog -- PROVIDENCE, RI –Dress for Success, an international not-for-profit organization that helps equip disadvantaged women with suits and self sufficiency  recently launched a Rhode Island chapter and will host a silent auction, dinner, raffle and dance on June 10 at the Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown, RI. Peggy Porter-Quinlan and daughter Melissa Quinlan-Finnigan are co-founders of the new Dress for Success Rhode Island chapter.

“We look forward to spending the evening with people who support Dress for Success and celebrating the launch of our new Rhode Island chapter,” says Dress for Success Rhode Island co-founder, Porter-Quinlan. “We plan to help disadvantaged women throughout Rhode Island for years to come.”

The Dress for Success Rhode Island chapter officially launched in February 2010. Porter-Quinlan and Quinlan-Finnigan will open a boutique in Providence on Charles Street this summer.

The Quidnessett Country Club event starts at 6 p.m. and will feature dinner, live music from Tijuana Bibles, a silent auction and raffle hosted by Ken Bell from ABC 6 Providence. Tickets are $55. To register, call (401) 339-3143 or visit http://dressforsuccessri3.eventbrite.com.

Founded in New York City in 1997, Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization offering services designed to help underprivileged women find jobs and remain employed. Each Dress for Success client receives one suit when she has a job interview and can return for a second suit or separates when she finds work and joins the Professional Women’s Group, where she receives education, mentoring, and networking.
