Make plans to attend the International Fashion Week for Women with Curves slated for September 01-05, 2010.  

International Curves Fashion Week is the Independence Day for today’s full-figured woman.  Diva Akademy the event host is comprised of a society of plus designers, couture clothiers, aspiring models, and other plus companies.  Our brand’s vision is to celebrate and nurture the needs of the “Total Plus Woman”.  At the akademy we honor cultural diversity, creativity and our given right to top fashion for women with curves.

Curves Fashion Week is setting the stage for global fashion.  “Because the plus industry has been publicly overlooked the gloves so to speak are off and there aren’t the rules of engagement that bind the industry as a whole”, said Curves co-producer, Megan Nelsam.  With registered delegates from 18 countries we are taking back our influence and reign over the fashion industry. “This will be an event that leaves all spectators breathless”, said Nelsam.  That said we are committed to producing both a full fashion weekend but a wildly entertaining one as well.  Expect the classics, runway fashion shows, catwalks, and workshops.  But, be prepared to be dazzled by new and exciting offerings such as Fashion Relay, Plus Size Model Search and transform yourself afterhours for the ultimate, Red Carpet, White Party.  This is a Curves signature and exclusive tribute to what our event hosts truly are, Divas.

Our destination choice, the fabulous city of Las Vegas adds to the ambience of an already exclusive weekend.  Combine the close of the weekend with the Road to Runway fashion show and “Fashion Show Mall”, 150 exhibits of everything plus and you have a recipe for success.  Last year we hosted about one hundred companies and close to two-thousand delegates. We expect that 2010 will bring sparkling divas from all nations.  Also available for information enthusiasts are a blazing lineup of speakers giving up the “skinny” on plus size issues.  There are seminars, workshops and nightlife events sponsored by major plus corporations.
