The Environmental Information Association was established to collect, generate and disseminate information concerning environmental health hazards to occupants of buildings, industrial sites and other facility operations. According to the EIA website, “The Environmental Information Association, with its beginnings as the National Asbestos Council, has spent 25 years at the forefront in providing the environmental industry with the information needed to remain knowledgeable, responsible, and competitive in the environmental health and safety industry.”
The EIA is comprised of a diverse range of professions and trades. Members include Environmental Consultants, HVAC Professionals, Design Engineers, Remediators, Industrial Hygienists, Building & Facilities Managers, Manufacturers Reps and numerous other related fields.
The EIA has a number of committees made up of members volunteering their time and efforts to help the industry. Some current EIA committees include: Training, Strategic Planning, Conference and a Membership & Marketing committee.
Paul Cochrane, whom many industry professionals know from his many years as Vice President of Business Development for Aerotech Laboratories and his current position as President of Cochrane & Associates and the founder of the IAQ Video Network, was recently named an official member of EIA’s Marketing Committee.
Since opening Cochrane & Associates over 4 years ago as the environmental and indoor air quality industries’ only dedicated marketing, public relations and business development consulting firm, he has been working with environmental trade associations such as the ACAC, IAQA, EIA and member companies that belong to the industry.
“Diligently working to enhance the public image of our industry and educating the public is a core strength of what we do at Cochrane & Associates and we are happy to help further the worthy causes endorsed by the EIA,” reported Paul Cochrane.
