Shandong Wants to Share a Slice of Shanghai Expo Cake

With the approach of May Day Holiday and Shanghai Expo, a new wave of tourism tide will come soon. Places in Shandong province all utilize the slogan of “Travel in Shandong while visiting the Expo” and carry out various activities in order to promote their tourism.

The launching ceremony of “Travel in Shandong while visiting the Expo” activity was held in Taian (http://www.chinatouronline.com/china-travel/shandong-prov...) city on April 27th. The activity set its main venue in Taian and branch venues in other 16 cities of Shandong province. More than 37 province’s major tourism projects have been launched at the same time.

Other cities in Shandong all introduced varied activities to display their local cultures and resources. From May 1st to May 9th, Linyi will host the 2010 “Travel in Linyi while visiting the Expo” Tourism and Gourmets Festival; cuisines will be introduced as part of tourism activities. Moreover, tourists can enjoy “the Dreamlike Beach Tour” in Rizhao and experience the “Civilians Life Tour” in Laiwu.
