From January 2006 to October 2009, Jerod worked as a mapping technician and cartographer for a local full service GIS solutions company. Unfortunately his job was cut due to the collapsing economy and like many Americans he was forced to file for unemployment benefits.
“We were barely surviving on unemployment, but I knew I was going to get a big tax refund and I planned to use it to start a home business.”
However, Jerod was not ready for what he was planning. After spending five months sitting on the couch playing video games, he was not ready to focus on learning and implementing the skills required to run any business. Especially in a space so close in proximity to his bad habits.
“When I initially went looking for a legitimate work from home opportunity, I intended to start small with a skill I already possessed. Like data entry or dictation. I soon found that trying to use my existing skill set in the free lance world was not the answer I was looking for. I then decided that 'right now' is the best time to create passive income.”
Through a stroke of divine luck, Jerod found exactly the right opportunity at exactly the right time. After investing less than $50, he was able to dip his toe into an enormous sea of internet marketing training. Less than 24 hours later, he bought full access and found the mindset training and community that have taught him that any obstacle can be overcome and any dream is possible.
For the last seven weeks Jerod has listened to hours of live and recorded training calls. He has watched dozens of webinars and read half a dozen different books.
“I've learned so much in the past two months that my head is about to explode! I don't think that I was looking for the world class education and skill set that is offered here, but the first thing I learned was 'no new skills means no new money' so I am eternally grateful.”
Unfortunately, for those same seven weeks, Jerod did nothing. He learned, but he did not act. He stayed stuck in the patterns of an unemployed, procrastinating, couch potato. Until it all fell into place when a community leader told him to stop trying to BECOME an internet marketer and just BE an internet marketer.
“I didn't really know exactly what I was looking for, but now that I'm here, I can't ever go back to where I was. I'm always home for my kids, and our life couldn't be any better.”
