And since street fighting has no rules it is a must to expect the unexpected. This type of combat is very unpredictable and spontaneous and you have to do whatever it takes to survive.

In order to stop your opponent in his tracks and most of the time can end the fight even before it starts, one of the best technique to keep in mind is you must be the one to hit him first, hit fast and keep the pressure on. This street fighting strategy is very crucial especially whenever you are squared off with a dangerous attacker.

One of the most important street fighting technique that you need to learn is not to telegraph or let your opponents know what you’re going to do during the fight. Here are just a few subtle forms of telegraphing that you may not even conscious of: one is cocking your arm back before punching or striking; you might not be aware that you are tensing your neck, shoulders or arms before striking; shifting your shoulders; taking a sudden deep breath; widening your eyes or raising your eyebrows.

During a street fight, flexible weapons such as chains, belts, etc., is not advisable to use. Because these types of weapons can be difficult to control in a fight, because for example once you swing a chain and you miss, you can’t pull it back quick enough to make it worth your while; they have to follow through the complete range of motion to be re-executed. Also, they open you up to a variety of possible counters during a street fight.

Street fighting techniques also includes attacking your opponent at the three target zones. Zone one affects your opponent’s senses; it includes the eyes, temples, nose, chin, and back of neck. Zone two includes throat, solar plexus, ribs, and groin; these are targets related to the attacker’s breathing. While zone three, the thighs, knees, shins, instep, and toes are targets that affects the bad guy’s mobility.
