Houston based professionals Attorney Sofia Adrogué, Chef Tarsha Gary and Dr. Yamile Jackson have all been named 2010 Texas Blazing Star Award Winners by the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Texas. The Blazing Star Award honors women in Texas on the success fast track; blazing their own unique paths to professional achievement.
Founded in the late 1980s, the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Texas is a statewide, nonprofit, nonpartisan business organization engaged in economic development for women with strategic focus in three areas: Business and Leadership Education, Executive Networking and Advocacy on Women’s Business Issues.
The Blazing Star Award luncheon was held Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Westin Austin at the Domain Hotel where ten statewide finalists were honored. Texas Businesswoman of the Year was Kathleen Mason; President & CEO of Tuesday Morning, Inc.
