Plainfield, IN (April 29, 2010) - Prime Distribution Services, Inc. (PDS) announced today the expansion of its warehousing and distribution network with the addition of an Atlanta, Georgia facility. This new location adds the Southeast region to a network that already includes approximately two million square feet located in Plainfield, IN; Stockton, CA and Mesquite, TX.
The new Atlanta facility will streamline the supply chain for customers by offering consolidation alternatives versus Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipping and is scheduled to open June 1, 2010. The PDS consolidation program has a twenty-year track record of increasing sales, reducing costs and lowering carbon emissions for suppliers to the retail industry.
In connection with its expansion into Atlanta, PDS announced that Mr. Joey Davidson has joined the company as the Business Development Manager for the new Southeast region. Joey will be responsible for developing new customers, enhancing existing customers’ supply chains, and growth planning for the Southeast. Joey has an extensive background in logistics and business development including four years with DSC Logistics as Director of Business Development in Atlanta, GA and prior to that he spent fourteen years with McMaster-Carr Supply Company in various capacities, including Regional Sales Manager. Joey received his MBA from Mercer University Graduate School of Business.
PDS also announced that Ms. Amber Dietrich will transition into a new role as Business
Development Manager for the Southwest region. In her new role, Amber will be responsible for developing supply chain solutions for new and existing customers. Amber joined PDS in 2008 as General Manager for the Mesquite, TX facility. Prior to joining PDS, Amber spent several years working in the logistics industry with JB Hunt Transport Services, Inc, J.C. Penney Company, Inc. and Amazon.com, Inc. Amber received her MBA in logistics from the University of Dallas.
