Besides the patented approach of fleet management in overtly monitoring the intrusion of container/trailer and pallet levels for sabotage and theft by having the monitoring device at the cab, AVANTE is now making the same solution available for individual container shipment. AVANTE patented approach of end-to-end supply chain visibility provides the true “Time Recorded Ubiquitous Sensor Technologies (TRUST)” by having sensors embedded inside the container and/or pallets. The system communicates to the web-based server in real-time on conditions such as temperature and moisture required for cold chain and intrusion through any of the six sides of the container along with GPS locations. End-to-end monitoring against theft and sabotage is communicated via satellite communications for intermodal shipping while domestic shipments has a choice of either GPRS or satellite communications.
The monitoring and communication module is integrated in a single package that is truly place-and-monitor for the ease of shippers. The monitoring device and service can be rented for one-time use without long-term commitment. AVANTE patented solution of “TRUST” based monitoring technology is proven and used by many customers for their daily shipments. The basic technology has also been verified and tested by the US EPA technology verification program (ETV). For commercial theft and sabotage applications, not having to worry about potential weapons of mass destruction (WMD), the applications have been proven to be extremely cost effective by AVANTE customers.
