April 28, 2010 - PRLog -- It is not much longer when underfloor heating came into existence. Since then it is stepping the ladder of popularity. Recent data states that there has been a 25% yearly increase in its demand. It posses many advantages over the traditional form of heating like no maintenance costs and low installation cost. It is precisely why many high-profile buildings throughout the UK have had underfloor heating installed. The Scottish Parliament building, Greenwich Museum, the British Museum, the Imperial Museum and Canary Wharf are few such examples.

There are many more advantages than just having cut costs. The heat spreads equally all over the room rather being centered around radiator or fireplace. Because it uses radiant heat, the airborne circulation of dust and house mites is reduced, which further make it  ideal for asthmatics.

Underfloor heating is typically available in two forms, one is warm water (wet) systems and the other is electric (dry) systems. Presently, people prefer electric system. This is because of the fact that the electric cables are located directly under the floor and heat the floor quickly, making them more capable and economical to run compare to the wet system.

You would not be disturbed with the electric cables nor will they be visible as they are fitted onto an insulation board and covered directly with the floor covering of your choice. You can also control the temperature for each room by a programmable digital thermostat which comes as a build-in feature. When the underfloor heating is installed it is suggested to add floor insulation. It prevents loss of heat into the sub-floor, or else it might consume more energy to heat the room.

Underfloor heating also enhances the appearance of a room in a way that they are not visible at all that takes up wall space. You get complete freedom to decorate your house with your furniture of your choice because you don't have to think of any radiators to leave space for. These heating elements are not just good for home or for official interior but for public places too. It is completely safety, as there are not any hot pipes or sharp surfaces that usually cause to cause a health hazard.

Heating every room including the conservatory and the bathroom with an underfloor heating (http://www.tilesporcelain.co.uk/electric-underfloor-heati... ) is possible. This allows you to enjoy your conservatory all year round, and in the bathroom, when you step out of your bath onto the floor you can feel the lovely warmth. You will see your family and friends queuing up to bathe so as to experience your flooring!
