Safe Driving in a Volvo
With more distractions on the road than ever before it is important for teenage drivers to understand how dangerous driving can be. Local Safe Driving competitions have helped teenage drivers realize how much they need to improve upon, and the importance of driving skills. The South Central Pennsylvania Highway Safety Board has been a sponsor of the High School Safe Driving Competition for years, and now Lehman Volvo is also playing a part.
For the student driving portion of the competition, Lehman Volvo has provided two Certified Pre-Owned Volvo S40s for the students to use.
“The idea behind our involvement is obviously the promotion of safe driving” states Lehman Volvo Marketing Manager, Dan Lehr. “While Volvo has a long history of safety, especially with their introduction of the 3 point safety belt in 1959, to all the state of the art active and passive safety systems of today…clearly it is the driver is the most important part of the equation.”
With two local competitions now complete, Lehman Volvo will also be on hand with vehicles for the 2010 High School Safe Driving State Competition, May 7th in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. http://www.lehmanvolvo.com.
