Latimer Hinks Prepares to Take Part in This Year’s Vantis Corporate Challenge

April 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Latimer Hinks plan to undertake one of many unique challenge later this month, in a bid to raise money  for Hartlepool & District Hospice, St Teresa’s Hospice and Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.

On 2nd May 2010 Latimer Hinks will be releasing 100 balloons from Darlington in a balloon race which will last until 28 June. Each balloon will be sponsored and there will be instructions asking the person who finds the balloon to return it to Latimer Hinks. The balloon which has travelled furthest by 28 June will be the winner. The sponsor of the winning balloon will win a family entry to Adventure Point.

Latimer Hinks is one of 59 businesses who have decided to take on this year’s North East Vantis Corporate Challenge by organizing a variety of fundraising activities.  Other planned activities include a quiz night and car boot sale.

Speaking about the upcoming challenge, Nicola Neilson, Partnerat Latimer Hinks said: “We are looking forward to taking part in this year’s Vantis Corporate Challenge and we hope to raise as much money as possible for the charities.

The inaugural year of the North East Vantis Corporate Challenge saw a total of over £33,000 raised in the North East. This has been shared equally between Hartlepool & District Hospice and Zoe’s Place.

The Vantis Corporate Challenge was first launched by the group’s Leicester location in 2008. In its first two years, the Leicestershire Challenge raised over £130,000 for two local charities, with further funds anticipated this year. The project’s huge success led to the Challenge being replicated in the North East in 2009, involving Challenge teams from across the Tees Valley, where Vantis has three locations, in Darlington, Hartlepool and Middlesbrough.
