After a long wait the Dubai Information Site has launched its interactive section where site visitors can share their personal stories about Dubai. The section is meant to encourage community involvement as it awards each submission with an entry in the quarterly free vacation giveaway that the site has been conducting for the past few months.
Submissions will result in personal experiences displayed on the website allowing other website users to read and comment on. Contributors can benefit from a rating system as other users assign anywhere between a 1-5 star rating for each story submitted. More giveaways are to be awarded to some of the best Dubai stories.
To kick things off, the hosts of the Dubai Information Site have started off the section with their own stories. In a conference with the founders of the portal, it was mentioned that such interactive activities are what people online are demanding today. They want to be and feel like part of the community where their voices are important and heard.
