For such cold rooms used to store such produce, a temperature range is set on both the lower and upper limits. When either the lower or upper limits are exceeded, the manager or owner of the facility is immediately alerted.

The authorised person in charge initiates corrective action from a remote location via text message/SMS alert with a mobile device. Such remedial action involves diverse possibilities of manipulation of temperature such as switching on the fan, resetting the ELCB, shutting down the AC or even modifying fan speed. The authorised person is also able to receive accurate reports on the temperature reading via analogue input signals. Once the temperature is restored to the authorised comfortable range, the alarm ceases and the unit reverts to routine operational mode.
