April 27, 2010 - PRLog -- For many boaters and fishermen, the riskiest part of enjoying a day on the water is in towing boats to and from the docks, and long highway trips only increase the risk of damage when hauling a boat on a trailer. Limited and blurred vision on the water is dangerous, but Boat Shields protects from debris, such as sand, wind forces and bugs on roadways, which often causes a boat canopy’s Isinglass or Polycarbonate materials to stretch, resulting in warped and blurry visibility through the canopy glass.

The majority of boat canopies can be very difficult and expensive to replace from the manufacturer, but with Boat Shields, the boat is truly protected from the rigors of road travel. Boat Shields are protective, hinged sheets of heat-treated, 6063 aluminum that attach quickly to center console boats, such as SeaVee, Robalo and Contender fishing boats. The unit installs quickly with simple, temporary hardware.

Boat Shields CEO, Michael Owen, announced today that units are now available for purchase on its new, re-branded e-commerce website, www.boatshields.com, which was custom designed by Spectrum 24 Media, of Atlanta, GA.

“We began promoting Boat Shields at the Miami International Boat Show in February, but the units weren’t available for sale online until now,” says Michael Owen, President of Boat Shields, LLC. He adds, “We have begun a web-marketing campaign with Spectrum and we are also promoting the use of the ‘Shields’ by professionals in the fishing industry. As we move into the summer months, with people hauling boats on their trailers to and from the lake or beach, word travels fast in the boating and fishing worlds about a great product.”
