Manny Pacheco, the award-winning author of Forgotten Hollywood Forgotten History will be the guest of Tony Valdez this Sunday at 9am on FOX 11 "MIDDAY SUNDAY" program. The theme of this week's show is "Cinco De Mayo", and Pacheco is a local Hispanic author who has been successful as a local radio and television personality for three decades. He recently was inducted into the Southern California Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters group.

His book tells America's story through the eyes of character actors of Hollywood's Golden Age including Lionel Barrymore, John Carradine, Eddie "Rochester" Anderson, and Van Heflin.

Forgotten Hollywood Forgotten History recently won the USA Book News - 2009 Best Book Award (History: Media / Entertainment), a National honor for the first time scribe. The paperback has made it's way into the prestigious book shelves of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Writers Guild Foundation, and the American Film Institute.

Tony Valdez has received numerous Emmy, Golden Mike, and Los Angeles Press Club awards for his work in broadcasting. He has been with FOX 11 since 1980.

Manny Pacheco is the author of new award-winning book Forgotten Hollywood Forgotten History. The paperback is in Southern California bookstores and historic gift shops. The book was added to the Margaret Herrick and Louis B. Mayer Libraries in Southern California, and has won a national book award.
