The story of Bill and Sarah Kolath, Dalhart, TX
Natural Family Planning teaching couple Bill and Sarah Kolath were living on a minimal graduate assistantship when they got married in 2001, so they postponed pregnancy. Still, Sarah said, “I felt a strong desire for a baby, so we often revisited the possibility.”
“NFP has changed our view of responsible parenthood,”
Working Mom and Dad
Kelly and Mike Burns, Columbia, MO
The Burns had two children in the first two and a half years of marriage, but then financial reality hit. Both Kelley and Mike were public school teachers, and as much as they wanted more children, they realized they had to provide for the family they had. Now their oldest is in kindergarten, and they are thrilled to be expecting their third child. Kelley wishes she had been able to stay home with her children, but she also notes that “blessings come with kids whether you’re financially ready or not. We wouldn’t change our decision to have the kids we’ve had.”
