(Port Jefferson, NY) — “Pippin,” a black five-year-old male cat, is available for adoption from Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center.
Pippin has had a very hard life. His owners abandoned him when they moved away and so Pippin lived on the streets as a stray. A few months later, a good Samaritan brought him to Kent Animal Shelter in Calverton. When he was neutered, it was discovered that Pippin had feline leukemia and F.I.V. Kent Animal Shelter staff members deemed Pippin as a special-needs cat.
After months of waiting, Pippin was adopted by a kind elderly gentleman, who gave him a real home with love, food and a cozy lap to sit and watch TV, and all the catnip he could ever wish for! It was a cat's dream come true!
Then, the most horrible thing happened: Pippin's new best friend passed away. Now, at eight years old, Pippin is homeless once more. Despite his age and pre-existing condition, he has no symptoms of any kind. He is strong and has a healthy appetite.
Pippin hopes for a chance to find happiness once more. Are you his new special person? Do you have love, food and a cozy lap for him to sit and watch TV? Pippin will wait for you — for as long as it takes.
Pippin is up-to-date with all of his shots. He is house-trained and neutered.
